KATY Aglow Community Lighthouse is pleased to announce Barbara (Bobbye) Byerly as the speaker for the September 28th meeting. Barbara shares her strong relationship with Jesus as a testimony of God's healing power. Until 1961, when Jesus set her free, she was a woman wounded and trapped by difficult life circumstances. She explains, "He delivered me from darkness into His marvelous light. He healed me from the pain of the past by revealing to me His love, so I want to share His love with other people and those who are hurting."
Barbara has traveled extensively thoughtout the U.S. and abroad teaching. She currently serves as Prayer Leader for Transform World with Dr. Luis Bush, and Assistant Leader for Transform World USA, Houston; serves on the Executive Board for the National Prayer Committee, the Executive Committee for All Nations Convocation in Jerusalem, and Toward Jerusalem Council II Spiritual Unity Committee. She also serves on the Board for the Great Commission Coalition with Tom Victor, CEO and on the Board for Houston Prays, as well as, serving with a newly formed ministry called
"The Voice of God."
Previously, Barbara served in the capacity as U.S. National President of Aglow from 1993 to 1997. She is the author of the book entitled:
"Miracles Happen When Women Pray",
which shows what happens when an ordinary woman surrenders her prayer life to the Holy Spirit's leading.
